Claricent has devised a proven
methodology for creating Analytic Dashboard
platforms that pertain specifically to your
needs. We engage hands-on working sessions
within your organization in order to gain
in-depth awareness of the critical business
functions and metrics that need monitoring.
At Claricent, we apply what is known as the
Analyze Configure Execute (ACE) methodology,
which focuses on the four components of the
Claricent Analytic Dashboard (CAD).
The ACE (Analyze Configure Execute)
Methodology breaks down into the following
phases:
1. The Analyze Phase.
During the "Analyze Phase" we acquire
basic information about your target market
of consumers as a means of laying the
groundwork for your project scope and
details.
Through complex data analysis we are able
to profile the Consumers who have a need for
the data you deliver, as well as surmise how
those Consumers interact with your data via
the specific tools and instructions you
provide. During the Analyze Phase, we will
determine the answers to the following
questions:

What information do you need to
proceed?

Does the information support
corporate goals and metrics?

What data is needed to support the Key
Success Indicators (KSIs)?

Where is the data located?
-
How can the data be obtained?
2. The Configure Phase.
The main objective during the Configure
Phase is to create and document a Dashboard
Map, which will serve as a mockup of the
final dashboard as it applies to your
analytic needs and the means by which
your customer will go about obtaining and
using the information you provide.
This phase is marked by expansive
brainstorm sessions and "possibilities,"
rather than single thoughts, limitations and
restrictions. At this time, we work closely
with members of your team to establish the
presentation components and then map the
interactions between them. Once completed,
the dashboard map then serves as a design
guide input to the Execute Prototype phase.
Design Presentation Theme
The Dashboard Map is used to achieve the
following:

Create the theme that will be
applied to the dashboard at runtime.

Develop custom graphics, color
palettes, component layout, and textual
content.

Finesse presentation components
using proven design principles and
created as "Widgets." representing the
smallest unit of work possible.

Translate business logic, develop
into programmed and data-driven business
rules.

Create the reports, access paths,
extraction programs, or data models
necessary for providing the data to the
dashboard.
3. The Execute Prototype Phase.
During the Prototype Phase, we
develop a Dashboard Prototype for your
organization. Because development is a
constant iterative process, the focus is to
create a working prototype that leverages
consistent design principles.
